THE Deer Park Tennis Club is proud of its reputation of producing talented young players.
The club has completed another successful season in the North Suburban Junior Tennis Association, with two teams qualifying for the grand final in their respective competition.
The A grade team of Jeremy Beale, Anthony Esguerra, Richard Esguerra, Melissa Esguerra, Emma Hartmann and Sherridan Rich was on track to win an unprecedented third premiership in a row, but was beaten by Maribrynong Park by 14 games.
It was the team's fourth grand final in a row and players can be proud of their achievements.
But the club is celebrating the premiership win of the B grade team of Celeste Beale, Iris Dinaw, Jonathon Dizon, Cassandra Williamson, Sean Williamson, Tricia Williamson and Dylan Ostrycharz, who defeated Oak Park in the grand final by seven games.
The match was highlighted by a great level of sportsmanship and high standard of play with both teams fighting hard until Deer Park broke away during the mixed doubles.
The club is hoping to field more teams in the NSJTA's next season, which starts on Saturday, July 18.
New players of all abilities are welcome.
