SYDENHAM Primary School's Iraia, Blake, Grace and Olivia (pictured) were among more than 180 prep pupils who got into the swing of their first day of school last Thursday.
Literacy co-ordinator Gale Buse said the school put on a show to ensure the transition to school was combined with a bit of fun.
"We have implemented a transition program that included a sausage sizzle, an information evening for the parents last year, orientation day and morning tea," Ms Buse said. "Our parents, students and staff have already experienced many memorable times and look forward to an exciting 2010."
Each prep received a gift bag containing two story books as a memento of their first day at school.
